THE BIG HABITAT BUILD
Habitat 
for Humanity Auckland, Takapuna Grammar School, and Devonport Rotary united to build a home in partnership with the Sakalia family, who were living in substandard housing in South Auckland.
The five bedroom home was built on the Lake Rd frontage of Takapuna Grammar School’s grounds and upon completion was transported to its permanent site in South Auckland.
The Big Habitat Build took place between March 10 – 28, 2015, and provided an opportunity for hundreds of students, businesses and local volunteers to participate in the home’s fundraising, promotion, and construction.
