The Sound Room is based in Auckland, and is run by composers and producers Tom Fox and Marshall Smith. It writes and produces music and sound design for film and TV, commercial projects and games all around the world.
Marshall, a “familiar face” from TV (Lotto Big Wednesday) had a career in Music in New Zealand and overseas before setting up the Sound Room. He created the Screen Composers Guild of New Zealand and has been the recipient of a number of awards, most recently being given a place at the Berlinale.
A fascinating talk and insight into the world of music, film and the arts.
