Our Club welcomed Mark Johnson, who gave a very informative and interesting presentation about the completion of the Western Ring
Route and Auckland Transport Infrastructure in general. The benefits of the Connection will be Improved Freight logistics, less stress on the Harbour Bridge, better access to the CBD and Airport, and enhanced regional journey times, reliability and safety.

Mark also talked about Tunnelling Methodology and showed numerous slides of the huge tunnelling machines currently in operation.
