David Oliver, from Birkenhead Rotary Club, talked about the project they are spearheading to support Mbossing Primary School on the island of Ambrym in Vanuatu. The school of 100 students was badly damaged by Cyclone Pam.
The Club is seeking to raise $US122,000 to repair classrooms, toilet facilities and water storage. They also need, if they are to access the Rotary Foundation, funds to put in place teacher training and hygiene programmes. The rebuild will be done in partnership with the Santo Rotary Club and will use locally sourced materials.
