On Monday, we welcomed our friends from North Harbour, and toasted the backbone of our Club, the Senior Members who have put so much into our Rotary Club over many many years.
Ludo Campbell-Reid has, since 2010, been Manager of the Environmental Strategy and Policy Department of Auckland Council’s Centre of Environmental Excellence.
Ludo didn’t mince his words and spoke from the heart about his desire to see Auckland up there with the best of them. With one of the most stunning natural Harbours in the World and an enviable geographical location in the South Pacific, we have a great opportunity to become a City to be truly proud of, with usable green spaces.
Ludo came across as offering a mixture of frustration and Optimism. Let’s all hope that optimism prevails and we end up with a great City for ourselves and future generations of Aucklanders.
