Over the years ROMAC (Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children) has changed and saved the lives of over 350 individual children.
Children like Cabel, who has come from a village on Espiritu Santo Island in Vanuatu, will probably not survive if not for the life saving heart operation he needs and will have in the Starship Hospital.
Thanks to the support of Rotarians raising funds for such life saving treatment, ROMAC can continue savings children’s lives such as Cabel.
Devonport Rotary members will look after Cabel and Frank (Cabel’s Grandad) during their stay in New Zealand whilst Cable receives his treatment.
Cabel and Frank have never travelled further than their village before and found visits to Sky Tower and living as we do very unfamiliar, but it has been an exciting new adventure for both of them. Having said that, it has also been very rewarding for us Rotarians.
