Jenny Nicholls of “For Heaven’s Cake” gave an amazing visual presentation of her journey into the art of bespoke cake making. All her cakes are completely edible.

Making a 2 meter-long 3-D motorcycle or a 3 foot-tall layer cake draped in edible gold are both structurally and artistically challenging and can take up to a week or more depending on the size and scale of the work.

The images above are 100% edible but many of her clients felt it difficult to eat her work and began asking for ‘something they could keep’, so she began exploring ceramics. Her new ceramic pieces evoke her skill as a visionary artist, with a sense of humour and ability to capture the personal story of her clients.

Her sculptural ceramics will be shown later this year at a local gallery. Watch for it!
